Feast of St. Augustine
We are dedicated to bringing the best of our diverse and multi-cultural history to St. Augustine. In 1565, the 28th of August, that was the day land was first sighted by the Spanish on their way here to found our city. Don Pedro Menendez de Aviles led the expedition to create what would become our nation's oldest city. It was on August 28th, the day of the death of St. Augustine, Bishop of Hippo that they celebrated a great feast. Hence the inspiration for the name of our town and our company as well.
